about us

A.T. Tri's Founder and Managing Director is Dr. Thawat Watanatada. Our project development team also includes engineers and project managers with decades of combined experience in power project development and renewable energy.

why A.T. Tri?

A and T are the initials of Dr. Thawat Watanatada and his wife M.L. Amaritabha Devakul, who moved back to their home country of Thailand after 25 years in the United States to launch and develop the A.T. Biopower Rice Husk Fueled Power Project in Central Thailand.

Tri was chosen for its dual good meanings. Not only does "tri" represent A.T. Tri's strong belief in the triple bottom line of environmental, social and financial returns, "tri" also has highly positive connotations in the Thai language because it echoes the Buddhist concept of ratana trai or "triple gem": the Buddha, the Dhamma (the Buddha's teachings) and the Sangha (the Buddha's followers)
